Avoid an abrasive cloth, opt for hand wash to maintain premium cutlery

The beauty of your #cutlery comes from the fine material it is moulded from and these sensitive metals often react with free radicals of oxygen. Avoid abrasive cloth for drying the cutlery and use white vinegar to maintain lustre, suggest experts.

Bhavna Goenka, CEO at Memoire and Filippo Ricci, Creative Director of Stefano Ricci, have suggested ways:

* Keep an eye on your washing habits, as abrasive practices can reduce the lifespan of your stainless steel cutlery. Unnecessarily drawn-out storage in a damp dishwasher is the main agent for rust, so remove and hand-dry.

* Abrasive cloth can leave marks and dents on the delicate frame hence only the softest cloth should be used. Ensure that you dry your cutlery with a tea towel rather than leave it to air-dry.

Censor board shouldn't act as villain for films: Anupam Kher

Veteran actor #Anupam_Kher, who has been a former chairperson of the Central Board Of Film Certification #CBFC, says the body should help and respect filmmakers rather than be a "villain" in their life.

Regarding the suggested 48 cuts in "Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" and criticism raised against CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, Anupam said here: "Criticism should not be personality oriented. I don't think Pahlaj Nihalani is doing all that, but having said that, I feel censor board needs to re-look at themselves."

"They are more and more coming across as people who know how to stop a film rather than how to facilitate the film. We live in the 21st century, so we can watch anything on internet. I feel there is a need of self-regulation."

Films a great tool to educate, says Sushant Singh Rajput

Films are a great tool to educate masses, actor #Sushant_Singh_Rajput said on Friday.

Sushant, ambassador of NDTV and DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Co Ltd's "Behtar India" campaign, was at the Modern School in the capital's Vasant Vihar area to participate in a conclave where he stressed the need to focus on environmental issues.

He said the film fraternity should think about making a movie on environment.

"Facts will make you think about an issue for the next 10-15 minutes, but that won't stick with you for a longer period. One thing that we have managed to do is that we stay with a good story (told through films) for a long time," Sushant told here.

Kay Kay Menon excited about short film 'Sparsh'

Actor #Kay_Kay_Menon has teamed up with director Ankoosh Bhatt for a short film titled #Sparsh, and he says the growth of the format is proof people are liking it.

It also features Mishal Raheja, Prashant Narayanan and Puja Gupta.

"Kay Kay is one of the best actors that Bollywood has. It is always a pleasure to work with him. The short film format is like T-20 cricket, wherein you have to tell the entire story in a very short span of time. But just like T-20 cricket, short films are also very exciting to make," Bhatt said in a statement.

Kay Kay is excited about the association too.

"The digitalization of content and growing penetration of internet has brought in a lot of opportunities for filmmakers who aspire to showcase stories in a few minutes. The way short films are growing, is proof enough that people like the format," he said.

Youngsters taking virtual world too seriously: Filmmaker Amole Gupte

Filmmaker #Amole_Gupte, former chairperson of Children's Film Society, India (CFSI), says youngsters are leading a lonely life that drives them to engage with the virtual world. He says it can be dangerous for their future.

Gupte is known for writing the heart-warming drama "Taare Zameen Par", and for helming projects like "Stanley Ka Dabba" and "Hawa Hawai".

The case of a 14-year old Mumbai schoolboy Manpreet Singh Sahani, who reportedly took his own life as part of a deadly online social media game called The Blue Whale challenge, has raised many questions.

Gupte says though he does not know much about the case, he finds it "sad and scary at the same time".

"In today's day and age, we are living two lives and one of them is the virtual life. We are getting imprisoned in our own selves. And our children are growing lonely. Therefore, they are trying to find happiness in the virtual world. They have taken that world too seriously," he added.

"Imagine how lonely he was growing up. He might have no one when he was four or five years old to tell stories and mythology that our generation has grown up with. They are losing their innocence faster.
